Settings toolbar
Settings toolbar is intended to give complete access to the the less frequent camera parameters, and is grouped into 'ROI', 'Shutter' and 'Other Settings', as described below.
Camera parameters displayed at start up may be incorrect!!!
Camera control gets camera parameters from the camera itself, it does not store parameters into a settings file. However the camera driver has been found to report incorrect parameters, for example it may report the fan is on when it fact it's off. This is a known issue, and has been reported to the camera manufacturer. Please make sure to toggle camera parameters to make sure they are applied and displayed correctly.
ROI group
'ROI' is the acronym for Region Of Interest, and describe the pixels and binning on the camera readout during an acquisition. Recommended to be used with the values below.
- 'X start' is position on the camera of the left-most pixels, i.e. left column. Default is 0
- 'X end' is position on the camera of the right-most pixels, i.e. right column. Default is 1023
- 'X bin' is binning on the horizontal direction, i.e. columns. Default is 1
Y parameters follow the same structure as the X parameters
- 'Y start' is position on the camera of the top-most pixels, i.e. top row. Default is 0
- 'Y end' is position on the camera of the bottom-most pixels, i.e. bottom row. Default is 255
- 'Y bin' is binning on the vertical direction, i.e. rows. Default is 256
Shutter group
Shutter is the TTL hardware signal output for the camera for synchronization with the scan control/beam position. Is it necessary for Remote operation, and should be used with the settings below.
- 'Shutter Type' may be 'None', 'None', 'Internal', 'External', 'None_High', or 'Rolling'. Default is 'None'
- 'Shutter Polarity' may be 'Low' or 'High'. Default is 'Low'
- 'Shutter Open Delay (ms):' is time during the acquisition time before the shutter signal is output
- 'Shutter Close Delay (ms):' is time after the acquisition time when the shutter signal is output
TO DO: GM to check default values!
ADC offset
'ADC' is the acronym for Analog to Digital Converter.
TO DO: GM to check purpose of this, and default value.
