How-to Brightness and Contrast
Routine control of brightness and contrast (B&C) is required to balance acquisition of detector signals and display of acquired images on screen. These are the two key interfaces where control of brightness and contrast requires user control
- Detector B&C need control so that detector output range matches the range of image acquisition in the scan controller
- Image B&C need control so that image output range on the display matches the visible range of the viewer/operator.
This book will provide the necessary information for correct control of brightness and contrast, with examples where appropriate.
