Scope
Detector Control app is provided for independent and open control of point electronic GmbH detector hardware, including Premium BSE, High-Temperature BSE and STEM detectors for SEM, as well as Highly-Segmented STEM detectors for TEM.
Intended Use
Detector Control brings together control of insertion mechanics, with control of amplification electronics, and with control of the display panel. Key features include
- Auto positioning to defined locations
- Manual repositioning for fine alignment, up to 3 axes
- Automatic touch alarm and beam current meter
- Clickable detector diagram to mix and route segments
- Select individual or grouped segments
- Manual brightness & contrast controls with slider, picker or text field controls
- Automatic brightness & contrastÂ
- Automatic zero (dark) adjustment
- Manual lowpass noise filter control
- Bias control and automated temperature monitor (HT BSE only)
- Control of hardware panel with physical knobs and touch display
Features available on a particular installation depend on available detector hardware, for example LInear Motion Arm (LIMA) controller is needed for position control, MultI Channel Signal (MICS) amplifier is needed for brightness and contrast controls, and the display panel is needed for physical knobs.
