USB driver

USB drives are supported for Microsoft Windows only, version 10 or higher!

Administrator password may be needed to install software! Please consult with the microscope owner to make sure administrator password is available.

Detector electronics will not be recognized by the operating system until the USB driver is installed. Point Electronic (PE) USB driver may be installed standalone with the peusb_setup.exe, or with the DISS6 installer diss6setup.exe. Setup and drivers are signed with the company digital signature, and will be regarded as safe by the operating system.

  • Locate and run the setup on the USB drive supplied with the hardware.
  • Disconnect and reconnect USB cable(s) to the device to make sure Windows is looking for the new driver. Monitor Windows messages for any potential errors.
  • Open the Device Manager and confirm presence of the PE_USB devices.
